In summary, the three sought-after senior bio-process engineers will play an integral role in addressing challenges, optimizing infrastructure, and introducing innovative solutions. This role demands a combination of independent thinking and collaborative teamwork, emphasizing the significance of training for effective site management.
Existing Digester Inspection, Cleaning, and Refurbishment Programme:
- Supporting the ongoing digester inspection, cleaning, and refurbishment program is a primary responsibility for the selected engineers.
- Addressing Sludge Treatment Capacity Constraints:
Tackling challenges in sludge treatment capacity involves not only developing innovative solutions but also formulating the necessary needs and briefs to offer crucial technical support for progressing works. - Planning Infrastructure Improvements:
The engineers will actively engage in planning infrastructure improvements, thoroughly reviewing various options and assessing added value through adherence to Thames Water standard processes. - Identifying Capacity Needs and Challenges:
A pivotal role will be played in identifying both long-term and short-term solutions to address capacity needs and challenges effectively. - Innovative Solutions:
Encouraging a culture of innovation, the engineers are expected to propose creative solutions, e.g. the exploration of temporary digestion capacity installation where feasible. - Independence and Teamwork:
The successful candidates must demonstrate a versatile skill set, showcasing the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve project success. - Reporting Structure:
Daily managerial issues will be directed to the Studies Manager, while reporting on project-related issues will be to Natalia Aslam from the Engineering Function Team. - Site Visits:
A crucial aspect of the role involves regular visits to various Thames Water sites, underscoring the importance of prior training for candidates or a commitment to receiving necessary training upon commencement.
