Technical Engineer


Technical (electronics) Engineer Vacancy
Our client is a UK based electronics design and manufacturing company. They are a world leader in power quality products, IoT devices and refrigeration controls with manufacturing in the UK, Middle East and Far East. Our Client is currently looking to recruit a Technical Engineer for their R&D department.

Duties

  • To support the R&D team with new and existing products.
  • Design validation of new products.
  • Evaluation of new components.
  • Building prototypes.
  • Investigations and failure analysis.
  • Fault finding on PCBs and products.
  • Making up cable harnesses and test jigs.
  • Uploading firmware into products and using configuration software.
  • Assisting the design engineers with new product development.
  • Pre-compliance testing of products including EMC and temperature testing.

Requirements

  • Candidates should be qualified to HND or higher level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or a similar discipline.
  • Solid practical experience (at least 5 years) in working with electronic products.
  • A good understanding of electronic circuits and ability to read schematic diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering components, crimping cables, and electronic test equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and proficient in task and time management.
  • Flexibility in task allocation and reporting to the Engineering Manager.
  • Able to work at our client's head office in Langley on a daily basis.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hour for lunch.
