Job description
Our client, a leading company in the Marine and Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. As a Project Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in the management and improvement of project controls systems while ensuring the successful execution of change control functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with significant experience in project controls, particularly in the Oil & Gas construction sector or a similar high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the change management process in a prime contractor role
- Support the continuous improvement of project management and controls
- Participate in the development of project controls systems
- Produce, review, and issue change reporting in accordance with defined calendars
- Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) culture
- Adhere to company policies, rules, and regulations
Key Activities:
- Manage and develop the change management process as the prime contractor
- Prepare cost summaries and scope writing for changes raised
- Provide input to integrated project reviews
- Carry out additional duties as requested in line with your skills and experience
HSE Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safe operating procedures and risk assessments
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site
- Report all near misses, incidents, accidents, or asset damage
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience (5-10 years) in a Project Change Manager position
- Experience with upstream and downstream change control in a high regulatory environment
- Proficiency in MS Office software package
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Resilient approach to delivering tasks and achieving outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time and self-management skills
Qualifications:
- Degree level education or equivalent relevant practical experience in a project controls change management position
This is a contract role with an approximate length of 4 months. The day rate is £550-600, Umbrella/Ltd company, and the working schedule is 12-hour days on a 14 on, 3 off rotation. If you are looking to join a dynamic team within a prestigious company, apply now!
