Job description
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Educational Background:- An engineering degree.
- Chartered Engineer status or in the process of obtaining it (ICE/IstructE), with a review anticipated within 12 months.
Experience:- At least 6 years of relevant experience in a design environment.
- Proven experience in the role of CRE (Contracting Responsible Engineer) for bridge refurbishment and renewals, across various structural types and materials.
- Experience with a range of structures including bridges, tunnels, stations, buildings, geotechnical structures, and knowledge of materials such as concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
- Project management experience, including scoping, coordinating design activities, and handling contractual and financial aspects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 2-4 people.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent and multi-discipline projects.
- Experience in client representation and working with various project stakeholders.
- A drive for career advancement within a growing, employee-owned company.
- Innovative thinking with a focus on developing both technical and business skills.
- Experience in a client-facing, work-winning role.
- A clean driving license.
Skills:- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop both conceptual and detailed designs according to project requirements.
