Job description
Our client, a leading entity in the retail banking sector, is actively seeking a Data Risk Analyst with some experience in development with SAS or Python to join their team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the development, update, and backtesting of risk models, as well as various data management and analysis tasks. If you are passionate about backend development and have an understanding of banking operations, this role could be your next career step.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development, update and backtesting of risk models (PD, LGD, EAD)
- Data manipulation, including the construction and maintenance of data marts
- Implementation, monitoring and analysis of a reporting framework (both regulatory and internal)
- Data quality analysis
- Manage local and international projects
- Preparation of documentation and corporate presentations
- Carry out the IFRS9 provisions process
- Conduct risk analysis involving data manipulation
- Ensure the creation and update of procedures related to the calculation and monitoring of IFRS9 provisions
Job Requirements:
- Academic degree (MSc or PhD) in econometrics, mathematics, engineering, or another quantitative subject
- Experience in programming with SAS, SQL, or Python
- Basic knowledge of credit risk management
- Fluency in English
- Organisational skills, critical thinking, and team spirit
- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering pragmatic and feasible solutions
- Good interpersonal relationship skills and analytical ability
- Motivated self-starter with a hands-on attitude
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
