We are seeking an experienced Contract Electrician to support operations within the water and wastewater sector. This role involves electrical installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on water treatment works, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical installation, inspection, and maintenance of LV systems
Fault finding and repair on pumps, motors, MCCs, control panels, and instrumentation
Working with PLC/SCADA systems (where required)
Ensuring all work complies with current electrical and safety regulations
Completing permits, RAMS, and site documentation
Working safely in operational water industry environments
Requirements
Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Previous experience in the water or utilities sector (essential or highly desirable)
ECS/JIB card
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Strong commitment to health & safety
Water industry safety passport (EUSR/CSCS) - desirable
PLC or instrumentation experience - advantageous
