Job Summary
As a Project Engineer (Contract), you will lead and support technical project execution for customized cryogenic systems, particularly for LNG and industrial gas applications. You will interface with cross-functional teams including Sales, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to ensure project milestones are met with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of assigned projects: from proposal support through engineering, fabrication, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Interpret client specifications and industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) to define system requirements.
- Prepare and review P&IDs, general arrangements, bill of materials, and system documentation.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, controls) to ensure technical alignment.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Provide support during system testing, FATs, and on-site commissioning if required.
- Support engineering change processes, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering roles with a focus on cryogenics, LNG systems, or pressure vessels.
- Experience with cryogenic pumps, vaporizers, and skid-mounted systems strongly preferred.
- Proficient in engineering software tools: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or EPLAN; MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NFPA, etc.).
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

- Experience working in a fast-paced, contract manufacturing or EPC environment preferred.
