Our client BAE Systems, a distinguished entity within the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Planning, Monitoring & Control Professional - Planning to join their team on a contract basis. This role is situated in Barrow with hybrid working arrangements, requiring two days a week on-site (Monday and Tuesday). This is a 12-month contract designed to cover maternity leave, offering a dynamic opportunity within the business unit focused on submarine solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining Level 4 schedules
- Managing jigs and rigs for the SSNA project
- Overseeing new project initiatives
- Serving as a senior planner within the team
- Forecasting finish dates into Primavera P6
- Conducting impact assessments
- Managing and assessing changes
- Liaising with stakeholders
- Guiding and mentoring other team members
Job Requirements:
- Experience with project planning within the defence sector
- Proficiency in using Primavera P6
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Strong ability to manage schedules and assess project impacts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively
- Understanding of working within a highly regulated environment
