Our client, a leading organisation within the Building Control sector is currently seeking a diligent Remote Plan Checker to join their team. This permanent role is fully remote with no site visit requirements, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and checking plans for both commercial and domestic schemes
- Ensuring all plans comply with building regulations and standards
- Utilising your expertise in building control to deliver accurate assessments
- Providing feedback and detailed reports on plan submissions
- Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure understanding and compliance
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and any changes in legislation
- Working closely with the internal team to provide comprehensive plan checking services
- Managing your workload to deliver timely and efficient plan checks
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building control plan checking, ideally across both commercial and domestic schemes
- RBI Level Class 2D plan checking grade or higher
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to critique and review building plans
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload remotely
- Proficient in the use of relevant software and tools for plan checking
- Relevant qualification in building control or a related discipline
