Location: Multiple Sites (Travel Required)

Contract Type: Contract (Duration negotiable)

Reporting To: HSE Manager / Project Director

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor on a contract basis to support the delivery of utility-scale solar projects. Representing the owner/developer, you will work across multiple active sites to oversee compliance with HSE requirements and drive a proactive, solution-focused approach to safety and environmental management. This is not a desk-based or purely auditing role-you'll be actively embedded in project teams, working closely with contractors to identify issues early and ensure best-practice HSE outcomes in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site HSE support across multiple solar construction sites.

  • Act as the owner's representative for HSE matters, maintaining clear and consistent communication with contractors and internal stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify health, safety, and environmental risks, and work with site teams to develop practical solutions.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, observations, and reviews, ensuring compliance with legislative and company HSE standards.

  • Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and follow-up.

  • Monitor and report on contractor HSE performance, and escalate issues where necessary.

  • Facilitate or support induction programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.

  • Assist with HSE reporting, documentation, and coordination of site-level audits or reviews.

Requirements:

  • Relevant HSE qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in construction, renewables, or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong working knowledge of HSE regulations and practices.

  • Hands-on, site-based experience with a practical approach to solving HSE issues.

  • Proven ability to work across multiple locations and coordinate with various contractors and stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to travel regularly between regional sites.

Desirable:

  • Experience in solar farm construction or utility-scale renewables.

  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

  • Background in owner-side or client-representative HSE roles.
