Our client is currently seeking a Building Control Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone keen to utilise their expertise in Building Control and drive quality standards within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and approved plans
  • Assessing plans for building regulation compliance, offering guidance and recommendations
  • Advising clients on technical construction matters and ensuring best practices are followed
  • Monitoring and evaluating building work on-site, ensuring all stages meet required standards
  • Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections and assessments
  • Providing support for remote plan checking as required
  • Collaborating with builders, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Keeping up to date with current regulations and industry developments

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in Building Control, with a strong understanding of building regulations
  • Class 2B-F qualification minimum - Class 4 would also be desirable but not a requirement
  • Ability to conduct detailed plan checks, with the option for remote plan checking one day per week
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
