Introduction

Our client, a leading name in the construction industry, is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing team in Dublin. You'll work on exciting projects in the mission-critical sector, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment where your growth is a top priority.

What will I be doing?

In this role, you'll support the commercial team across a variety of project stages. You'll be:

  • Managing day-to-day commercial and contract activities on live projects
  • Handling contract administration, including change management and maintaining registers
  • Assisting with budget management, cost plans, and feasibility studies
  • Supporting subcontract procurement, including negotiations and scope clarity
  • Reviewing and validating subcontractor payments and final accounts
  • Preparing accurate monthly Cost Value Reports
  • Submitting monthly valuations with clear supporting documentation to maximise cash flow
  • Drafting and submitting Final Accounts, including handling claims
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the design team
  • Making sure all commercial procedures are followed

What do I need to succeed?

  • A background in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (degree or relevant experience)
  • Familiarity with contracts like NEC, RIAI, or FIDIC is a bonus
  • An eye for detail, you're great at spotting gaps and identifying opportunities
  • Solid understanding of construction methods and processes
  • Commercially aware with strong numerical and reporting skills
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
