About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional with at least 5 years of hands-on and hands off technical experience. Working to Head of ICT and as part of a small, collaborative team, your primary responsibility is to support the delivery of the organisation's ICT support services. This role is predominantly 2nd line support working hands-on and hands-off. It also includes desktop support, server support and general infrastructure. Project work from time to time might include server upgrades, cloud based digital transformation, WIFI, router and switch upgrades.
Key responsibilities:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a methodical approach to resolving complex issues.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure.
- Oversea/lead infrastructure projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices, both in-house and with our MSP.
- Monitor and manage system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Collaborate with other MSP IT teams to support business operations and projects.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including diagrams and procedures.
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
