Introduction
We're looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on the SSE contract. You'll play a key role in our success, helping us invest in sustainable, carbon-positive infrastructure for future generations. What will I be doing?
- Keeping track of the numbers by generating weekly revenue and cost reports and analysing financial performance.
- Managing job submissions and pricing high-volume works to ensure accurate, timely billing.
- Preparing and maintaining 'Schedule of Rates' to support effective cost control.
- Reviewing subcontractor costs, reconciling payments, and issuing certificates.
- Working closely with Operations and Planning to monitor progress, track scope changes, and ensure project targets stay on course.
What do I need to succeed?
- A solid experience with NEC contracts, subcontractor management, and a background in utilities or civil engineering.
- Confidence with Excel, you'll need to be comfortable using formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, with a keen eye for data accuracy.
- A natural problem-solver with a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a can-do attitude.
- Bonus points if you've helped develop junior team members and supported their growth.
