Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Principal Structures Engineer in managing structural assets including bridges and foot tunnels.
- Deliver structural maintenance and improvement projects from feasibility to post-construction.
- Prepare designs, contract documents, and estimates for structural works.
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and load assessments.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies.
- Monitor budgets and ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
- Provide technical advice to senior officers and councillors.
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree-qualified or technically certified with substantial experience in structural maintenance and municipal engineering.
- Strong understanding of local government operations and relevant legislation.
- Skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, and public consultation.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present technical matters clearly.
- Familiar with systems like LoBEG Bridge Station and electronic data processing tools.
