Our client in the building control sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team covering projects in North East London. This permanent position is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a focus on building control to help ensure projects meet all required regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with building regulations and codes
- Reviewing and approving plans, specifications, and building designs
- Identifying and documenting any deviations from approved plans or building codes
- Providing expert advice and guidance to clients and contractors regarding compliance and safety issues
- Ensuring that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained for building projects
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections and approvals
- Collaborating with other professionals, including architects and engineers, to ensure project success
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Class 2A Registered Building Inspector certification
- Experience in building control and regulatory inspections
- Strong understanding of current building regulations and codes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a portfolio of projects
- Valid driving licence and ability to travel to various project sites in North East London
