Senior Mechanical Engineer required by my client a world leader in the superyacht industry . This is a temporary position, ideal for those with extensive expertise in mechanical design, specifically within marine engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and designing mechanical systems for marine projects
- Creating detailed mechanical drawings and specifications
- Reviewing and validating designs to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to integrate system designs
- Conducting technical analysis and simulations to optimise designs
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
- Managing project timelines and deliverables to meet client requirements
- Ensuring the quality and integrity of mechanical designs through rigorous testing and inspections
Job Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical design engineering within the marine sector
- Proficiency in using Solidworks, Catia or NX
- Strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices
- Ability to develop and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a related field
