Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Lead Project Professional to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in Barrow and involves working within the Submarine Solutions business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading project teams to deliver against contractual requirements
- Ensuring the integration of project activities across various departments
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively
- Identifying and mitigating project risks
- Reporting progress to stakeholders and ensuring project documentation is up to date
- Facilitating communication and coordination among internal and external project members
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within project management processes
- Maintaining compliance with security requirements (BPSS/SC)
Job Requirements:
- Experience in project management within the Defence & Security sector
- Proficiency in BAE-Project Professional skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility to commit 2 days every fortnight onsite in Barrow (Wednesday and Thursday)
- Ability to work within flexible office hours, with an early finish on Fridays
- Relevant security clearance (BPSS/SC)
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential for a permanent position
- Flexible working hours with lunchtime finish on Fridays
- Onsite requirements: 2 days every fortnight back to back - Wednesday and Thursday
