Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Product Safety Engineer to join their team on a contractual basis in Glascoed, South Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage product safety risks throughout the lifecycle of defence products
- Develop and implement safety management systems and strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses
- Prepare detailed safety documentation and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety requirements
- Provide technical expertise on product safety issues
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate safety risks and mitigation measures
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Safety Engineer within the defence sector
- Strong understanding of safety management principles and practices
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
- Proficiency in hazard identification and risk assessment techniques
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
