An opportunity has arisen for Platers, based in Portsmouth.

Suitable candidates will come from a shipbuilding/ship repair background.

You will be involved in a variety of projects and the contract is going.

Role Requirements:

Background in marine/ship build/repair projects or other heavy industries
NVQ Level 3 /apprenticeship qualified
Able to work from engineering drawings
Workshop and site based
Marking out and measuring materials to tight tolerances.
Cutting, shaping, rolling, and bending plate using thermal cutting (oxy-fuel, plasma) and workshop machinery (presses, rollers, guillotines).
Fabricating steel structures, supports, brackets, and other assemblies.

Must be eligible for security clearance
Driving licence

Rates:

Umbrella Company

Monday - Friday - £28/h
Saturday - £35/h
​​​​​​​Sunday - £37/h

PAYE (holiday pay can be accrued or advanced)

Monday - Friday - £20.91/h plus £2.52/h holiday pay
Saturday - £26.13/h plus £3.15/h holiday pay
Sunday - £27.63h plus £3.33/h holiday pay

​​​​​​​The standard working week is 40 hours, but the team are regularly working 50-60 hours
