Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical delivery of electrical and electronic projects
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Responsible for system design, development, and validation of electrical and electronic systems
  • Detailed electrical circuit design
  • Support PCB layout
  • Generate product and test specifications
  • Liaise with mechanical engineering regarding enclosure design
  • Support prototype and volume manufacture
  • Prototype debugging and testing
  • Provide technical support to the sales team
  • Communicate directly with clients on technical issues
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to develop specifications and solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • Ability to design analogue, digital, and power electronics systems
  • Familiar with the product delivery process from requirements capture through to design validation
  • Experience in compliance engineering to external standards such as EMC and vehicle safety
  • Strong teamwork, organisational, oral, and written communication skills

Additional Skills (Desirable):

  • Experience in design for manufacture
  • Experience with schematic entry tools, ideally using Altium Designer
  • Experience using schematic simulation tools such as pSpice or LTSpice
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits design
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing and testing
  • Experience in automotive electronics design
  • Experience in delivering DFMEA for design
  • Experience in Worst Case Circuit Analysis
  • Experience designing products using 8, 16, or 32-bit microcontrollers
  • Experience with schematic capture packages
  • Basic understanding of the requirements of electronics packaging
