Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a skilled CNC Grinder to join their team on a contract basis with a strong likelihood of conversion into a permanent role after a qualifying period.

Job Overview:


The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in programming CNC grinding machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The CNC Grinder will be responsible for ensuring that all processes are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimise CNC programmes for various grinding operations
  • Assemble components using hand tools
  • Utilise tooling effectively to achieve desired outcomes in production
  • Support metal finishing processes to ensure customer requirements are achieved
  • Conduct grinding operations to refine and finish components as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to the role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all aspects of work

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:00
