Our client, a leader in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS)to join their Project commercial team on a permanent basis. This role involves supporting and ensuring the profitability and efficiency of various commercial activities within the energy industry, including offshore and onshore facilities. The position will be centred around cost management, bill of quantities, and quantity surveying to maintain margins and manage risks effectively.
Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely submission of EWNs, CEs, and other notifications under the Contract
  • Maintain registers for contractual notifications
  • Prepare quotations for CEs once agreed in principle
  • Support planners with preparing contractual programmes
  • Support Applications for Payment
  • Support the drafting and negotiation of subcontracts
  • Administer contracts of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Support Bilfinger's financial timetable and internal and client reporting requirements
  • Assist with CVRs and other project reporting requirements
  • Optimise profitability by improving project margins against budget
  • Minimise company's liabilities by advising site team on contractual obligations
  • Support valuation, application, and invoicing process as well as review and certification processes of subcontractor accounts

Job Requirements:
Experience:
Essential

  • Previous experience in a post-graduate Quantity Surveyor role

Desirable

  • Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Experience working for a main contractor or subcontractor
  • Experience in the industrial services/engineering sector
  • Knowledge of best practice in quantity surveying
  • Evidence of risk and change management

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying or similar field
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office suites

Desirable:

  • Membership of an appropriate professional body such as RICS
