Job Title: Skilled Sliding Head Machinist (Contract)
Location: Farnborough
Shift: Day shift - 07:30 to 16:00 (Friday finish at 13:00)
Rate (DOE): Up to £23.00 PAYE / £26.34 PAYE (with holiday) / £31.48 Umbrella
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
About the Role:
We are seeking a Skilled Sliding Head Machinist for a contract role based in Farnborough. The role requires strong experience with DMG Mori Sprint 32 sliding head machines and Fanuc control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming, setting, and operating DMG Mori Sprint 32 sliding head machines.
Producing high-precision components to aerospace standards.
Ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the machining process.
Working from technical drawings and adhering to strict specifications.
Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sliding Head Machinist.
Strong knowledge of DMG Mori Sprint 32 machines and Fanuc controls.
Ability to program, set, and operate independently.
Aerospace or precision engineering background desirable.
Must be able to provide 5 years of references for security vetting.
