Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Public Rights of Way team
  • Developing and implementing strategies, processes, and policies for Public Rights of Way services
  • Ensuring the Public Rights of Way network is accessible and well-maintained
  • Collaborating with Cabinet, other elected members, and senior managers to enhance the network
  • Providing expert advice on Public Rights of Way issues
  • Overseeing the resolution of Public Rights of Way cases and disputes
  • Attending in-person meetings and site visits as required

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the highway sector, with a focus on Public Rights of Way
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices related to Public Rights of Way
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies and policies
  • Proficiency in resolving complex Public Rights of Way issues and disputes
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid setting with in-person attendance on Tuesdays, and additional days as needed
