Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the Public Rights of Way team
- Developing and implementing strategies, processes, and policies for Public Rights of Way services
- Ensuring the Public Rights of Way network is accessible and well-maintained
- Collaborating with Cabinet, other elected members, and senior managers to enhance the network
- Providing expert advice on Public Rights of Way issues
- Overseeing the resolution of Public Rights of Way cases and disputes
- Attending in-person meetings and site visits as required
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the highway sector, with a focus on Public Rights of Way
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices related to Public Rights of Way
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective strategies and policies
- Proficiency in resolving complex Public Rights of Way issues and disputes
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid setting with in-person attendance on Tuesdays, and additional days as needed
