Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a skilled FC/ASW Mission Planning & Control Lead Architect to join their team in Stevenage. This is a critical role within a dedicated and driven systems engineering team, focusing on delivering Mission Planning & Control products for FC/ASW TP15 - a highly complex and significant weapon system that provides both future cruise and anti-ship capabilities across the UK and multiple international partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate all architectural artefacts within the boundary of TP15 Mission Planning & Control
- Guide other architects within the team to maximise modularity and re-use across multiple product offerings
- Support and influence the design process through effective collaboration
- Collaborate across various teams to achieve overarching project objectives
- Ensure all activities are delivered on time, on cost, and on quality
Job Requirements:
- Strong background in complex systems architecture, including practical experience with MBSE
- Understanding or experience of key architectural principles in a product line environment
- Proficiency with Rhapsody (essential) & SysML
- Experience with IBM Engineering Workflow Management (formerly Rational Team Concert)
- Familiarity with DOORS Next Generation is ideal
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
- Leadership and influencing capabilities to coordinate activities across multi-skilled teams
- Ability to learn rapidly and tackle complex problems independently
