Our client, a leader in the defence industry, is currently seeking a Senior Quality Inspector with a focus on Radiography to join their team in Barrow on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting radiographic inspections of pipework to ensure quality and integrity
- Completing paper reports for the signing off of welds
- Passing on knowledge and expertise to junior staff members
- Working on a shift basis with 12-hour shifts, including daytime and night-time work
- Inspecting components related to nuclear or piping work
Job Requirements:
- PCN Level 2 in radiography for welds
- Experience in DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection) or PT (Penetrant Testing) of welds
- Advanced radiation safety training
- Basic radiation safety knowledge
- Mechanical background with an understanding of NDTs (Non-Destructive Tests)
- Proficiency with IT tools, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and Teamcenter
- Experience in industries such as aerospace, nuclear, or oil & gas
Contract Details:
- Duration: 12 months
- Shift basis: 3 on 4 off, 7 on 7 off in nights
- Day and Night shifts available
- Full onsite requirements
- Immediate start available
