You will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and integrity of bridge structures across various locations, initially in Kent and potentially expanding to other counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake General Inspections and Principle Inspections of bridges as per DMRB CS450
- Carry out inspections with consultant's Engineers
- Help develop Engineers to achieve BICS BI and SBI status
- Support in developing proposals and managing inspections
- Mentor and develop Engineers as per the BICS Lantra scheme
Job Requirements:
- Certified Senior Bridge Inspector as per The Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS)
- Experienced in leading inspections and inspection teams
- Full and clean UK driving licence and business use car insurance
- Safety certifications: CSCS card, first aider, Highways Safety Passport, working at height, working over water, working on railways (PTS), working in confined spaces
Location:
- Initially carrying out Principal Bridge Inspections in Kent
- Potential for developing into inspections in other southern counties
Starting:
- Mid-October / Early November
Duration:
- Initially until March 2026
- Potential to extend the contract based on pipeline and performance
