Our client, a prominent provider of sustainable facilities management and energy solutions, is seeking an Assistant Retrofit Technical Solutions Advisor to join their team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This permanent role involves frequent travel to sites, supporting the delivery of retrofit projects in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of retrofit coordination on ongoing projects, ensuring compliance with PAS2035 standards and best practices
- Assist with quality assurance on retrofit assessments, coordination, and designs, ensuring technical accuracy
- Conduct pre-, mid-, and post-works inspections on-site, reporting findings to lead retrofit coordinators and the team
- Build and maintain robust relationships with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners
- Verify project data, audit trails, and technical documentation to support compliance audits and funding applications
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to integrate retrofit measures into project plans, promoting sustainability
- Proactively resolve technical challenges and contribute to project reviews, risk mitigation, and process improvements
- Stay updated with industry innovations, policy changes, and funding schemes to ensure projects meet current standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Retrofit Coordinator or a relevant qualification (or working towards)
- Knowledge of PAS2035 compliance, building regulations, and retrofit standards
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable collaborating with contractors, clients, and internal teams
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across multiple sites
Desirable:
- Retrofit Assessor qualification (or working towards)
- Experience with SHDF (Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund) or other sustainability initiatives
- Familiarity with energy efficiency software, data analysis, and low-carbon technologies
