Our client, a consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking Mechanical Design Engineer's for a contract position. The role offers hyrbid or remote working arrangements and would come with long term work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing detailed mechanical designs for water-related projects
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery
- Creating schematic diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems
- Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and feasibility
- Applying industry standards and regulations in mechanical design processes
- Providing technical support during the construction and commissioning phases
- Ensuring projects are completed within the set time frame and budget
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical design within the water sector
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools
- Understanding of mechanical systems and their applications in water projects
- Capability to produce detailed technical documentation and reports
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
