Our client, a leader in the FMCG industry. This permanent role focuses on day-to-day operational purchasing with an emphasis on managing orders, replenishing stock, cost control, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operational purchasing activities
  • Manage and improve existing P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes
  • Replenish stock and manage orders efficiently
  • Maintain effective supplier relationships and conduct light negotiation with suppliers
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including finance, development chefs, commercial teams, and stores
  • Supervise a team of six staff members
  • Possibly handle procurement for other categories such as equipment, IT, or event needs
  • Implement sustainability initiatives where possible

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing is preferred
  • Managerial experience, particularly overseeing a team
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics
  • Understanding of sustainability initiatives such as reducing plastic and exploring alternative options
  • Proficiency in improving and implementing procurement processes
  • CIPS qualification or working towards it is a plus but not mandatory
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly generalist and hands-on role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
