Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their esteemed team in Cowes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the systems engineering activities to deliver complex defence and security solutions.
- Manage the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and validation.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that system requirements are met.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide inputs to engineering deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of systems engineering processes and best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in systems engineering within a defence or security environment.
- Strong knowledge of BAE Systems engineering principles and methodologies.
- Proficient in using systems engineering tools and software.
- Familiarity with UK Defence and Security standards and regulations, including SC clearance (UK Eyes Only).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work setting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
