Our client, a medium-sized Planning, Engineering and Surveying consultancy based in Sheffield, is currently seeking a Land Surveyor to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis.
With an increasing workload, our client requires a talented individual to support a diverse array of consultancy projects including quarries, landfill and recycling sites, and industrial, commercial, and residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the execution of measured building surveys
- Conducting detailed topographical surveys
- Supporting projects with site surveys using Leica GPS and TPS equipment
- Utilising LSS and AutoCAD software for survey processing
- Collaborating with team members to produce accurate and reliable survey data
- Completing on-site work efficiently, ensuring high standards of data collection
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring its readiness for fieldwork
- Providing support to the senior surveyors and engineers on various projects
Job Requirements:
- Experience in measured building and topographical surveying
- Familiarity with scanning software is preferable but not essential
- Basic experience with LSS and AutoCAD software is advantageous
- Good IT skills and proficiency in relevant software tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Outgoing and confident with strong communication skills
- Possession of a full UK driving licence
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying is desirable but not essential
