Our client, a leading provider in the automotive industry, is seeking an Inspector for Laser Crack Detection to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in Leamington Spa and involves working on small batch work primarily for the motorsport and aerospace industries.
This role is a night shift during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting high-quality transmission components using laser crack detection technology
- Interpreting technical drawings and geometric tolerances to ensure components meet the highest quality standards
- Utilising manual measuring equipment and conducting table work to check parts against drawings and planning requirements
- Programming on CMM and utilising Mitutoyo software
- Collaborating with a small team to achieve a right-first-time philosophy
- Supporting other manufacturing areas when required
- Maintaining high levels of attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Meeting delivery deadlines and occasionally working additional hours as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances
- Experience in inspecting components from drawings and planning route cards
- Proficiency with manual measuring equipment
- Programming experience on CMM and familiarity with Mitutoyo software is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to team support
- Flexibility in supporting other areas of manufacturing when needed
- Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines
