Our client, a leading provider in the automotive sector, is currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team in Leamington Spa on a contract basis. You will be working on the week day night shift, contributing to the high-quality standards of transmission components, primarily for the motorsport and aerospace industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting and inspecting components from drawings and planning route cards to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
- Utilising manual measuring equipment to check parts against drawing or planning requirements.
- Programming and operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment, with a preference for knowledge in Mitutoyo software.
- Collaborating in a small team to deliver high-quality transmission components.
- Applying a proactive and innovative approach to team support, focusing on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Assisting other areas of manufacturing as needed.
- Being flexible and willing to work additional hours to meet delivery deadlines.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in quality engineering with a strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Ability to work with both manual measuring equipment and CMM tools.
- Proficiency in programming CMM and familiarity with Mitutoyo software is advantageous.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality components with a right-first-time approach.
- A willingness to collaborate within a small team environment.
