Our client BAE Systems, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Planning, Monitoring and Control Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal within the Submarine Solutions business unit, based in Barrow with hybrid arrangements of 1-2 days on-site per week. The contract duration is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing project controls and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Implementing and maintaining control systems for project tracking and reporting
- Managing risk assessment and mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives
- Providing leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Preparing and delivering detailed project reports and presentations to senior management
- Ensuring compliance with security protocols and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in project controls within the defence or security sectors
- Strong knowledge of project controls management and related methodologies
- Proficiency in using project controls software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work arrangement
- Security Clearance (SC) - UK eyes only
