About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our fast-paced Research & Development team in Southampton. This role offers hands-on experience in analytical chemistry, supporting day-to-day laboratory operations and contributing to the preparation and analysis of materials using fast-screening analytical tools.

You'll play a key role in maintaining lab efficiency, ensuring smooth operation of equipment, preparing samples, and supporting analytical workflows-all within a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials and samples for analysis using fast-screening tools and support analytical workflows.

  • Effective communicator with good planning, organisation, and teamwork abilities.

  • A self-starter who can work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward improving lab processes.

Qualifications:

  • A degree (minimum BSc preferred) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.

  • Confident user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to work with internal databases.

Why Join Us?

This is a great opportunity to build practical skills in a high-functioning lab environment while contributing to innovative analytical projects. You'll work alongside experienced scientists and gain exposure to industry-standard techniques and processes.

If you're passionate about science, thrive in a laboratory setting, and are looking to grow your analytical skills, we'd love to hear from you.
