Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer (Design) to join their team on a permanent basis. This role requires a specialist in Model Based Systems Engineering, Systems Design, and Systems Engineering, deeply involved in one of the most advanced weapon system development programmes in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing requirements and functional interface definitions to generate detailed functional design documentation
- Conducting system design trade studies and proposing design changes with detailed impact assessments
- Liaising with multi-disciplinary design teams and external stakeholders to ensure an accurate and coherent understanding of the system design
- Understanding and managing change processes and points of embodiment management
- Supporting the development and maintenance of management plans
- Developing excellent working relationships with partners, key stakeholders, team members, and other departments
- Demonstrating passion and persistence to accomplish tasks with excellence
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering, Systems Design, and Systems Engineering
- Ability to analyse complex requirements and generate cohesive design documentation
- Proficiency in conducting and assessing system design trade studies
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with change management processes and documentation
- Proven ability to foster strong working relationships across various levels of an organization
- A dynamic and flexible approach, with a motive to contribute to the success of pioneering defence projects
- British citizenship or dual UK nationality with British citizenship
