What You'll Do
As a Senior Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design and detailing of advanced landing gear systems for civil and military aircraft. You'll support every stage of the product life cycle - from concept design through to manufacturing and maintenance - ensuring performance, reliability, and innovation at every step.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support all aspects of design from concept through detail and production phases.
Manage and maintain product configuration throughout project life cycles.
Utilise advanced CAD and data management systems (CATIA V5 preferred).
Create designs that meet exacting customer requirements and industry standards.
Present technical solutions and progress updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and programme management.
Support design reviews, address non-conformances, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Mentor and coach junior engineers and work towards design check signatory responsibilities.
What You'll Bring
Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
Strong understanding of design and manufacturing processes, ideally within aerospace.
Proficiency with CAD software (CATIA V5).
Knowledge of configuration management and GD&T principles.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience managing work packages and delivering to tight timelines.
Previous aerospace engineering experience
