About the Opportunity
Working with a pioneering aviation/defence tech organisation, this role puts you in the heart of operations. You will support unmanned aerial systems (UAV/drones) in deployment, ensuring systems are mission-ready, diagnosing faults, and maintaining propulsion / mechanical / electrical systems in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operate in the field: maintain, troubleshoot, repair UAV / drone systems under operational conditions
Manage spares, logistics, and line-replaceable units (LRUs)
Provide propulsion / engine level-1 maintenance and support
Liaise with build team for system upgrades and improvements
Stock, audit, and maintain deployment equipment and support kits
Keep meticulous documentation of maintenance, repairs, and logistics
Required Skills & Experience
Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge (hands-on)
Experience (or strong aptitude) with UAV / drone / propulsion systems is highly desirable
Ability to work in dynamic, high-pressure and remote field conditions
Willingness to deploy / travel globally (6 weeks on, 2 weeks off model)
UK Right to Work (must not require visa sponsorship)
Reliable transport / ability to reach sites when needed
