Our client BAE Systems, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Project Controller to join their Military, Air & Information (MAI) business unit on a contract basis. Based in Warton, this role involves a combination of hybrid working, requiring attendance on-site three days a week. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the Air Business Unit, overseeing project controls for a duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing and managing project control processes to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Supporting project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.
- Monitoring project performance through metrics and reporting tools.
- Coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to maintain project alignment.
- Preparing and presenting status reports to senior management.
- Ensuring compliance with organisational standards and procedures.
- Assisting in risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Providing input and support for continual improvement initiatives within the project control function.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in BAE-Project Professional methodologies.
- Experience with project controls within the Defence & Security sector.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on project planning and control.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working model.
- Security clearance (SC) is required to start.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of managing project metrics and driving project success.
