Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to support their team on a contract basis. This role involves working at the FEED stage of a significant project, with primary duties in Manchester and occasional client site visits in Capenhurst. Individuals with an architectural background are encouraged to apply, although this is not a prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the Project Manager and Engineering Managers
- Contributing to the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) process
- Ensuring project objectives are met through effective engineering solutions
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables
- Regular reporting and documentation of project progress and technical details
- Supporting project scheduling and budget management
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Maintaining up-to-date security clearances and compliance with SC Clearance protocols
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a similar project engineering role within the nuclear sector
- Must hold live SC Clearance
- Understanding of the FEED stage in project life cycle
- Ability to support and collaborate with Project and Engineering Managers
- Beneficial but not essential: Background in architecture
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting
- Willingness to work three days a week in Manchester with occasional travel to Capenhurst
