Our client, a key player in the marine industry, is seeking an experienced FCAW Welder to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based in a workshop setting with an immediate start.
You will be required to undertake an internal weld test , which will be a downhand butt weld and a fillet on the vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform FCAW welding on a structural steel project for the marine industry
- Working according to project specifications and deadlines
- Ensuring all welds meet the required quality and safety standards
- Interpreting and working from technical drawings and sketches
- Collaborating with the workshop team to ensure efficient project flow
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a coded welder, specifically in FCAW welding
- Strong welding skills with the ability to work on marine components
- Ability to start immediately and commit to the duration of the project
- Able to to interpret and work from technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
Benefits:

- 40 hour standard week, but 50-60 hours being worked with Overtime
Umbrella co - £23/h first 40 hours and £34.50/h after 40 hours
OR
PAYE £17.17/h plus £2.07/h holiday pay first 40 hours and £25.76/h plus £3.11/h holiday pay after 40 hours
