The Role
The New Business Team are part of the Production Enablement Team in the Typhoon Production & ILS line of business. New Business are focussed on bids for obsolescence contracts for Typhoon aircraft equiment to enable the production of customer Typhoon aircraft contracts. The team work as an IPT with
Engineering, Procurement and Commercial. The bid team then work with Eurofighter to deliver contracts into NETMA. Opportunities for travel to Eurofighter are available. Opportunity to transfer into the contract delivery team once a particular bid is on contract and be involved in the mobilisation and delivery phases.
Support the Bid Lead to take obsolescence bids from launch to LCM phase 2B. Support the development of bid plans and stakeholder buy-in. Support regular bid sessions to drive the bid programme. Support monthly updates to the appropriate reviews (ie. PPR, BSR). Provide support to customer queries as and when they arise. Monitor budget and spend for the obsolescence bids IEP funding. Prepare contract documents. Deputise for the Bid Lead as required.
Involvement in hand over of bids to the contract delivery team once contract award is achieved.

Able to produce and manage bid plans in an appropriate planning toolset
Budget versus spend tracking and reporting
Reporting skills for project status into monthly Bid Status Review and Delivery Director level
Involvement in the planning of lifecycle management reviews up to bid delivery

Understanding of bid process and governance requirements
Competent in use of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Good communication skills across multiple stakeholders
Ability to run meetings on behalf of Bid Project Manager
Security Requirements: SC
This role will require you to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
