Our client, operating within the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a 6 month contract (Inside IR35) - potential extension/chance of permanenet employment in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing sub-contracts and overseeing change management processes
- Working with NEC3 Option A and Option B contracts, including closing out accounts
- Collaborating with the Commercial Manager and other team members to ensure project objectives are met
- Conducting cost analysis, forecasting, and budgeting for the project
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports
- Providing support and advice on commercial matters
Job Requirements:
- Experience in quantity surveying, preferably at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of highways, bridges, and local road bridge projects
- Proficiency in sub-contract management and change management
- Familiarity with NEC3 contracts, particularly Option A and Option B
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work both on-site (4 days) and from home (1 day)
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field
