Our client, a well-established company specialising in groundworks, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Canterbury, Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing all costs related to groundworks projects
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
- Providing advice on contractual claims and procurement strategy
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
- Ensuring project costs do not exceed budgets
- Conducting site visits and valuations
- Liaising with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts
- Proficiency in cost management and tendering processes
- Detailed knowledge of groundworks and construction methodologies
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
