Matchtech is supporting an established UK airline with the recruitment of a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join their line maintenance operation at London City Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a stable, well-supported role within a fast-paced urban environment, working on a modern narrow-body fleet.

The Role

You will be part of a highly skilled line maintenance team, responsible for ensuring aircraft availability, safety and compliance. The role includes defect rectification, AOG support and working closely with flight operations to maintain on-time performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out line maintenance activities in accordance with Part-145 and company procedures

  • Rectify aircraft defects and certify work within licence scope

  • Support AOG and operational recovery when required

  • Ensure compliance with UK CAA regulations and safety standards

  • Work effectively as part of a shift-based maintenance team

Requirements

  • Valid and current UK CAA Part-66 B1 Licence (essential)

  • Minimum of one aircraft type rating (any type considered)

  • Line maintenance experience within a commercial aviation environment

  • Right to Work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

  • Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, safety-driven mindset

Engineers without Embraer E190 type rating are strongly encouraged to apply - full type training is available.
