Our client, a reputable player in the Aerospace MRO sector, is seeking a skilled and dedicated B2 Licensed Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen. This permanent position requires expertise with rotary-wing aircraft, specifically Airbus H175, Leonardo AW169, and Leonardo AW139. Working within a dynamic aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul environment, you will be pivotal in ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of aircraft maintained by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform base maintenance and modifications on aircraft and components as per work orders.
- Conduct effective electrical and avionic troubleshooting based on pilot reports and system indications.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in line with approved maintenance data, procedures (MOE), and airworthiness regulations.
- Complete maintenance within appropriate timescales to ensure aircraft serviceability.
- Accurately certify completed tasks and ensure proper documentation in the work dossier.
- Handle, segregate, and document removed/installed components appropriately.
- Adhere to safety standards; report hazards and occurrences via the reporting system.
- Brief and debrief the Chief Engineer on maintenance activities and update on the maintenance situation.
- Certify B2 category maintenance activities in accordance with regulations.
- Perform ad hoc line maintenance duties as required.
- Work independently in less controlled environments and demonstrate flexibility within the team to complete tasks promptly.
Job Requirements:
- UK Part-66 B2 License
- At least one aircraft type endorsed on the license (Airbus type is a plus).
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, storekeepers, CAMO engineers, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in base maintenance operations.
- Strong understanding of UKCAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Accuracy, reliability, and flexibility.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
