Our client, operating within the T & D sector, is currently seeking a Gateman on a contract basis. The successful candidate will assist the site team with maintaining the premises, including generators, general site housekeeping, and tending the main access gate. This role will involve escorting vehicles in accordance with National Grid Safety Rules, handling deliveries, and supporting the BMcD site management and supervision teams. The position is for a 6-month rolling contract on an 18-month project commencing on 24/11/25.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting site team with the day-to-day upkeep of the site
- Managing generators and general site housekeeping
- Tending the main access gate and escorting vehicles as per National Grid Safety Rules
- Receiving and taking deliveries
- Supporting BMcD site management and supervision teams
- Arriving for work in a fit and suitable condition
- Maintaining a safe and effective delivery of the project
- Performing other duties as directed by the site manager or management team
Job Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
- National Grid Competent Persons NSi 6 & 8 Full
- Competent person skills
