Our client is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers for contract roles based in Totton or Exeter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing civil structures including concrete tanks, chambers, and foundations
- Working on clean and waste water projects for major clients such as SWW, Wessex, Thames, and some Southern Water projects
- Creating detailed design drawings and specifications
- Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Providing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
- Adapting to project requirements and delivering solutions promptly
- Flexible working arrangement with two days a week in Totton or Exeter
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil design within the water industry
- Proficiency in designing concrete structures and foundations
- Strong understanding of water sector projects including both clean and waste water
- Ability to produce detailed design drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Capability to work independently and take initiative
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
- Available to start as soon as possible on a freelance basis
